Atlantic Electric and Gas are part of the Scottish and Southern Energy group. They were originally an independent supplier in the UK but they were bought by the Scottish and Southern Energy Group in 2004.
Being owned by one of the UK's largest energy providers with a reputation for good customer service has improved the status of Atlantic.
They offer two sets of pricing in the domestic market, one for off line sales and a more competitive "direct" or "online" product for sale through their web site and online price comparison services.
Atlantic Electric and Gas did have a portfolio of business customers but these are now billed and run by one of the Brands within Scottish and Southern Energy.
If in England, it will be Southern Electricity, in Wales, Swalec and Scotland it will be Scottish Hydro Electric.
