Warm Front Energy Grants Scheme

Warm Front Energy Grants Scheme is only available to homes in England. It was launched in June 2000 with the aim to help tackle fuel poverty.
If you own your home, or rent it from a private landlord, you may be able to claim a heating and insulation grant of up to £2,700 under the Warm Front Scheme. The except where oil central heating is installed or repaired where a maximum grant of £4,000 is available.
To qualify you need to be in of of the following groups:
Householders aged 60 or over and in the receipt of at least one of the following benefits:
  • Income Support
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Pension Credit
Or be a householder who either have a child under 16 or are pregnant with maternity certificate MAT B1 in relation to the pregnancy concerned and are also in the receipt of at least one of the following:
  • One of the five benefits above that are stated above
  • Child Tax Credit with an income of less than £15,000
  • Or householders in the receipt of at least one of the following;
  • Working Tax Credit with income of less than £15,000 which must include a disability element
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit with an income of less than £15,000
  • Housing Benefit + Disability Premium
  • Income Support + Disability Premium
  • Council Tax Benefit + Disability Premium
  • War Disablement Pension (+ Constant Attendance Allowance or Mobility Supplement)
  • Attendance Allowance
