Home Energy Efficiency Scheme

Home Energy Efficiency Scheme is only available to homes in Wales. Home Energy Efficiency Scheme offers help and grants to the value of £1,500 to low income households that may be in the fuel poverty, homes spending more than 10% of their income on their heating bills.

Homes that qualify for the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme grants receive help towards improving their homes with:

• Cavity wall insulation
• Converting a solid fuel open fire to a glass fronted fire
• Draught proofing
• Electric storage heaters
• Gas room heaters
• Hot water tank insulation

The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme is managed by Eaga Partnership on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government. Eaga Partnership also offers all households applying to HEES a Benefits Entitlement Check.
