EBICo, Equi Gas, Equi Power, Equi climate
EBICo first came in to the UK energy market in late 1999 with a gas product called EQUIGAS. This was aimed at providing cheap gas to people on prepayment meters.
EQUIPOWER was launched in 2002 to provide electricity to prepayment customers and low income families.
The company buys their gas and electricity in from Scottish and Southern Energy and do not have their own license to trade under.
There main customer focus was on low income households on prepayment meters. They also offer other payment methods like direct debit and say they pass on the savings made by direct debit customers to prepayment customers.
