E.ON announces price rise for residential customers
E.ON Energy follow other UK energy suppliers by increasing their prices
Today 21st August 2008 E.ON Energy announced they will be increasing the energy prices for residential customers by 16% for Electricity prices and 26% for gas prices.
The move comes as a direct result of rising wholesale costs which have increased by over 51% since February. This rise will equate to around 62p per day (22%) for the average dual fuel customer.
Customers on price protection and fixed price products, including StayWarm will not be affected.
Customers on the Age Concern Energy Services tariff will have their prices capped for the next 12 months, guaranteeing that they will see no further price rises until at least August 2009.
